TESTIMONIAL
Sarah’s help has been invaluable. After three submissions of my thesis and after having it returned three times telling me to fix certain portions, I was getting frustrated. But the last return and comments that came along with it were discouraging and I decided that I had to concentrate on things at home. I let the project go for 6 months and after moving to a new state, settling to my new job and taking care of things in my personal life, I decided to seek some help. I researched for assistance online and found Sarah’s contact info. I decided on Sarah mostly because of her location. It was close to where I lived and being in a new area, I didn’t want to venture far from home. After the first ten minutes meeting with Sarah, I was immediately excited about my thesis again. Sarah was excited about my topic as well and seemed to really want to hear more. The more I talked, the more she seemed to understand why I had decided on this topic. I’m excited about finishing my thesis again and know that if I just push through for another couple of months, I can complete this and have something that my professors will accept and be satisfied with. About Sarah Federman, PhDI did not start out a good writer or a solid student. In elementary school they wanted to hold me back a year because I could not spell, read, or write very well.
After years of great teaching and coaching plus thousands of hours of practice, I improved. I finished a PhD, now publish articles and am working on several books. In addition, I have also worked as a freelance writer for two decades with Bedford St. Martins on their writing manuals for college students. I now work as a private coach helping individuals finish their papers. Now, a day feels incomplete if I do not write. Let me help you get as addicted to writing as I am so you can be a writer or just finish that darn degree!! |
Where to now? |
My writing has just begun. I have four books in the queue, two related to my doctoral work, one for conflict resolution students and the other for the general reader. These books, as well as academic articles and blogs, will require serious focus, especially if I plan to enjoy other parts of my life.
My goal is to always be writing and publishing. I want to influence national and international conversations about genocide prevention and how we work in the aftermath of violence. I also want to influence national conversations about health, including what we feed ourselves, how we treat the land/animals that serve us, and the over prescription of pharmaceutical drugs. In order to do this, my words must be powerful, clear and have resonance. Becoming a great writer assists with this. I am dedicated to developing life-long strategies, not just ones that fly one through a particular task. I maintain several blogs on conflict and well-being to begin that influence and to improve my skills: Sarah Federman and the Language of Conflict. |
Why I want to help! |
After working now with a number of individuals, I see how heavily incomplete projects weighs on people from all disciplines. In the struggle to finish, people lose touch with their passion and the importance of their work. Yes, I think your work is important. I want to see you finished and out there flourishing.
